Reading: Dark Desires After Dusk
I just finished the unexpectedly early arrival Dark Desires After Dusk by Kresley Cole. I know I seem to be on a Cole kick lately, but it’s really just because I only found the books a few months ago, and I got lucky enough to have found them just in time for several new additions to her Immortals After Dark series. :-)
This is one book that you shouldn’t miss. Cadeon Woede is a very sexy demon–and I swear I’ve never been a fan of demons (I’ve always wondered: how in the world could a demon be sexy?!). I’ve discovered the secret. Name him Cadeon Woede, give him horns that grow when he’s aroused, and give him a past that makes me want to weep for him. Then you have sexiness galore.
Of course, I’ll be writing a review for the site, but I don’t have time to do that tonight. :-) Later~

This sounds like a great book. I’ve heard good things about the Immortals After Dark series, but being new to the genre, I haven’t picked any up as of yet. Should I read them in order, or does it matter?
One of my first experiences with paranormal erotica was Take Me There, by P.F. Kozak. If you haven’t read it yet, it’s a great book and the one that pretty much got me hooked.

I would definitely recommend reading them in order. As the series has progressed, I’ve noticed more and more coming up about previous character’s actions and history that might throw you for a loop since Cole doesn’t spend a lot of time explaining what happened in previous books.
On the other hand, I can’t imagine that it would make that much of a difference since I hadn’t read the first story from Playing Easy to Get before I read the first book. I realized later that I might have enjoyed the scenes with Nikolai and Myst a little more in A Hunger Like No Other if I had, but it certainly didn’t ruin it for me. It just kept my focus on the main characters for that book!
