New Blaze Books and More Updates!

I’ve put up quite a few of the new and upcoming Harlequin Blaze romances. You can check them them out and buy or preorder them if you want.

I’ve updated my Lora Leigh book list. With the change over from static pages to a database, I just didn’t get all the books for some authors entered and I’m working on them a bit at a time. However, now I’ve got a great many Lora Leigh books listed with plans to add more of Lora Leigh’s books.

There are many more authors I need to get up to date on the site and if you have a preference for who you want updated first just let me know.

I’m excited to be getting the erotic romance lists all updated. :-) Here’s to many more happy book updates.

More erotic romance novels will be added soon!

I’m going to be able to get quite a few more erotic romance novels added to the site before the end of the month.

The books will update the Kensington Brava, Berkley Sensation, Spice Books, Harlequin Blaze, Avon Red and Ellora’s Cave lists. The Ellora’s Cave book list doesn’t exist yet, but it will. :-)

The biggest targets of the update are the Sensation books and the Ellora’s Cave.

I hope to add Samhain to the lists too.

Are there other hot publishers of erotic romance novels out there that I should consider adding?

I go mostly by the authors I like but sometimes I miss things because I don’t read as much as I used to.

I’m definitely open to suggestion. :-)

July Updates

Today I’ve added in the August 2008 Blaze books. Preorder now, if you aren’t a member of the continuity program (readers club thing where you get the books shipped to you every month directly from Harlequin).

I also updated the Avon Red list. I know it’s not complete, but I’m working on it. :-)

I have several books to read and review for the site, and I should be getting to them this week or next, so keep checking back for erotic romance recommendations.

Newsletter quandry: Should I drop the newsletter?

So, I made plans to renew the newsletter and begin publishing it on a regular basis. Then I realized I still can’t guarantee I have enough books to recommend on a particular schedule to make it worth my time to put it together. Of all the parts to this site, the newsletter seems to me to be the most difficult to keep a handle on. If I want to chat about erotic romance, I post here to the blog. If I want to recommend a book, I award it with the “recommended” title and that adds it to my recommended list.

So tell me, what do you get out of the newsletter–or am I wasting my time even worrying about it?

Tweaking the site

I’ve mentioned before that I’ve been doing something of an overhaul to the site (behind the scenes, mostly). Although I had almost finished, there were a few things that still needed working on, and yesterday and today, I’m finally trying to wrap all that up.

Don’t fret. It’s not broken. I’m upgrading.

I’m adding some of my improvements today. If anything goes haywire, don’t worry about it. I have backups and I’m prepared to use them! Of course, that’s only if I totally screw something up today, which I sincerely hope won’t happen.

Anyway, today isn’t the end all of the process, but a large chunk of updates are going to go online in a little while. Wish me luck. :-)

UPDATE: Things have gone pretty well. There were a few bugs and one that I still have to take care of. (Oops!) I still have data to load and a few other things, but like I said in a previous post, at first you’re probably not even going to notice much at all! :-) Do let me know if you find problems though, because it might be something I don’t know about.

Hot Rec: Warlord, plus some site news

Although I haven’t yet posted the reviews for the latest books I’ve devoured (yes that’s the exact word for it since they’ve all been delicious!), I have a new recommendation for your reading pleasure.

Warlord by Angela Knight is a plot heavy, sex-ational action and romance collection. Warlord contains Jane’s Warlord, an additional novella, and two short stories. I had heard Jane’s Warlord was fabulous, but I hadn’t gotten around to reading it yet. I might wish I had already read it but then I wouldn’t be having so much fun reading it now, would I? Overhaul headed this way…but you might not notice.

I’ve just recently finished a new website I’ve been developing. I don’t know if I’ve mentioned lately that I have a habit of doing that kind of thing–for fun–for whatever–but I like websites. Read the rest of this entry »

The Erotic Reader Blog is Back!

Okay, then! I’ve finally got my blog back up and running. I know that a year is a long time to leave it, but time has been short, and I’m sure I’m not the only one who’s just looked at a calendar and wondered what the hell happened to 2007.

No joke. 2007 has to be the fastest fly-by year ever.

On to good things.

The blog is back up and running. I’ve noticed a few weird characters floating around in the posts, but it’s somehow related to the restoration of the backup into the database. I’ve corrected what I could and will leave the few remaining character issues for posterity.

The Erotic Reader is hoping to do some more reading this year. (Oh, please.) And more writing. (I do occasionally do some writing of my own.)

Now I’ve just got to get the blog link back into the menu…. Write some posts…. Read some books…. Have some fun.

Yes, I am hoping to have quite a bit of fun with the site this year. Here’s to a sexy new 2008. :-)
