Drop Dead Gorgeous just happens to be the first book by Kimberly Raye that I've read. It won't be the last.
Drop Dead Gorgeous has Meg Sweeney, former tomboy, lusting after Dillon Cash--not his body, or so she tries to convince herself, just the secret to his transformation from geek to stud. Meg wants the people of the small Texas town of Skull Creek to see her as a sex goddess and she's been trying to change her image for years and it's never worked. But it worked for Dillon, so she's after him to share his secret.
Dillon's secret is a big one. He was turned into a vampire! Now he's all fired up to make the kinds of sexual conquests he wasn't able to make back when he was a geek. Only Meg distracts him and soon he can't think of anyone else.
Although this dud-to-stud has been done many times before, the addition of the vampire angle gives it just that little something extra. Dillon has powers, you see. Those powers gave the story many moments of humor and sexiness. My favorite scene happened early on when Meg saw Dillon for the first time since his transformation--the tension between Meg and Dillon was sexy hot! What a fun read! I enjoyed the tension and I liked Meg. The ending wasn't as fleshed out as I would have liked, but I certainly enjoyed the book overall.
